Grain of Salt
This Achievement requires American Truck Simulator: Kansas Grain of Salt (formerly known as Needs More Salt) is an achievement in the Kansas DLC in American Truck Simulator.
Summary
To unlock the achievement Grain of Salt, the player has to complete 6 deliveries from the Hutchinson Salt Mine. Two of them are required to be delivered to a food factory.
Guide
To unlock the achievement, you have to complete 6 deliveries from NAMIQ in Hutchinson. 2 of the deliveries are required to be delivered to a food factory operated by Flavorfair, while the other 4 jobs can be any type of cargo. All jobs, however, must be in Kansas—the destination of any job cannot be outside of Kansas. All jobs do not have to be in a certain order.
For jobs from the NAMIQ in Hutchinson to any Flavorfair food factory in Kansas, there is a very low percentage of receiving a contract for that, which makes Grain of Salt a difficult achievement to unlock. To increase the percentage of finding these contracts, do all of the following tasks:
- Go to your profile's Main Control Panel > Options > Gameplay Options > Set your preferred job length to the minimum setting (50%).
- If your preferred job length is greater than 50%, and you have changed this setting to the minimum, go to a resting place and sleep—this will mostly reset the job market, as you can find contracts with a short-enough distance within Kansas (this is also recommened for all the 6 jobs).
- Buy a Sliding Tarp and/or Dry Van Trailer and search through the Cargo and External Markets to find the contracts.
- It is also recommended to check the Quick Jobs section (or the Freight Market, if you prefer to use your own truck) and the External Contracts.
- Save your game at a resting place where you can sleep, check the job market for a contract, and repeat. Note that World of Trucks contracts are only affected by real-life time as you may receive one from there.
- If you were unable to find a contract to a Flavorfair food factory after sleeping 3 times (when the player is "not tired"), do one job from the salt mine to any destination in Kansas to progress the achievement.
