Time Compression

In Euro Truck Simulator 2, the in-game map is represented at 1:19 scale (1:15 in UK), and in American Truck Simulator, the in-game map is represented at 1:20 scale outside of cities and likewise, the day/night cycle advances quickly outside of cities, depots, and most rest stops. This means that one in-game minute lasts about three seconds and thus you can estimate the amount of real time left in a non-External Contract or how long it will take in real time to arrive at your destination via the ETA. In cities, depots, and rest stops, the scale is 1:3, meaning 20 seconds in real life is 1 minute in-game. Keep in mind that Time Compression does not affect the amount of time left in an External Contract from World of Trucks.
