Hatnote for "Locations" sections on company pages. Meant to be used primarily during the ongoing transition from driving directions to city location descriptions, but could conceivably remain in place even after that transition is complete.
Output
This template can produce the following output; cases vary by page name, links vary by parameters:
- Case 0
- Equivalent to the status quo. Will likely not be needed going forward.

- Case 1
- Initially the default.
For driving directions to PAGENAME locations, see PAGENAME (Directions). Note that driving directions on this wiki are in the process of being replaced by location descriptions on city pages.
- Case 2
- Appropriate early in the transition for companies with very incomplete driving directions, or for companies for which city location descriptions already exist for nearly all cities.
For more detailed location descriptions (in lieu of driving directions), see the "Locations" section on the individual city pages. Note that those might not yet exist for all cities.
- Case 3
- Appropriate early in the transition for companies for which city location descriptions are already fully completed. Conceivably also the future temporary default when the transition has progressed well and a significant portion of cities are complete.

- Case 4
- Appropriate for companies for which driving directions are incomplete and for which city location descriptions are already fully complete. Conceivably the future default after the transition is complete.

Text and cases are subject to change in the future, depending on the community's needs. See "TODO" below for planned changes. Eventually, these hatnotes might even be removed from company pages entirely, but ideally not before some time late in 2023, so as to give casual players a better chance to understand what's going on.

TODO
- Try and shorten the copy. Ideally, the hatnote would fit onto a single line in all cases.
- Consider using #replace to remove the state from city page names that include it.
- Grammar: Use singular for single-city situations (e.g. Port of Seattle).
