M25 (United Kingdom)

The M25 is a circular motorway surrounding London, UK. It's first featured in Euro Truck Simulator, and subsequently UK Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.

In ETS 1 the M25 merely connects the two entrances of London, while in UKTS and ETS 2 the full circle is rendered, possibly because of the smaller mapping ratio used in the two games.

Trivia

  • The M25 occupies the whole circle in-game, but the real-life road does not. The non-motorway part (A282) of the road is not signed as such in game. In fact, some information sites (e.g. Wikipedia) do describe the two in a single article.
  • The M25 needs heavy reworking, especially with many junctions and re-signing of roads. Examples: M25 (between the M2 and A12 should be A282). However, 4 entrances into London are available from the M25.
  • In real life, the real M2 is a bypass between Rochester and Faversham and is located further to the north of Kent, therefore it does not connect directly to the M25. The M20 however does connect directly to the M25 and follows a similar route towards Dover, however this road is not featured in the game.
