US 400
U.S. Route 400 (US 400) is an east–west US Highway in southeastern Colorado and southern Kansas in American Truck Simulator. The route is split into three sections: The first section runs from US 50 and US 385 in Granada to US 50 west of Dodge City. The second section runs within Dodge City. The third section runs from US 54 in Mullinville to K-66 in Galena.
In real-life, US 400 runs 481 miles (774 km) from US 50 in Granada, Colorado to Interstate 44 near Loma Linda, Missouri.
Course
US 400 begins in the town of Granada in southeastern Colorado, at the corner of US 50 and US 385. The highway follows US 50 east from the town into Kansas, following the Arkansas River through the High Plains of western Kansas to Garden City. The two routes briefly follow US 83 around the northeastern edge of the city before branching east once more towards Dodge City. However, before reaching the city, US 400 diverges from US 50 to follow an unrendered southerly course bypassing the city center to the south. The highway doesn't reapper until reaching the city center itself, where it runs from US 56 / US 283 to a Golden Meadows farm on the east side of the city before becoming inaccessible again. Signage for US 400 reappears along US 54 southeast of Dodge City in the town of Mullinville, where there is a gas station. From here, the highway proceeds east, following US 54 through Greensburg and the city of Wichita until nearing the Flint Hills, where US 54 turns north to go to El Dorado while US 400 continues alone. It runs uninterrupted over the Flint Hills and through the Osage Cuestas, with the only notable landmark along the way being an intersection with US 75. At the eastern edge of the state, the highway joins US 69 and US 160 south of Pittsburg as it pivots south towards Oklahoma. However, just before reaching the border, the highway turns east onto K-66, following the state highway to the town of Galena on the Kansas–Missouri border, which is where the route terminates in American Truck Simulator.
