Scenery towns
A scenery town, scenery city, settlement, or village in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator is a city, town, or settlement that is not marked with a name on the in-game world map, but which is identified by either in-game signage or by buildings and landmarks corresponding to its real-world counterpart. A suburb in American Truck Simulator is a scenery town located in or near a city, featuring depots shown as part of that city. For cities marked with a name on the game map, see Cities: Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Cities: American Truck Simulator.
Summary
Scenery towns are first grouped into two categories: Signed (those with a nameplate stationed at one of their entrances in-game) and Unsigned (those which have been identified by geographic placement or the presence of local landmarks but are otherwise not acknowledged by the game).
Regardless of signage, scenery towns are also classified by their in-game functions. Suburbs on this wiki are defined as localities in close proximity to a city and which house company depots associated with said city, but which are administratively separate from the main city in real-life. Boroughs also have this property, but are administratively a part of the municipal area of the main city. Finally, Inaccessible scenery towns are those which the player cannot drive into.
