Ford
The Ford Motor Company is an American car and former truck manufacturer that is featured in American Truck Simulator.
Summary
Founded in 1903 by Henry Ford, the company is widely acknowledged for the invention of many techniques of mass-producing automobiles, including through pioneering the use of assembly lines in manufacturing, and by creating the first mass-produced car with the Ford Model T. Ford today ranks as one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world.
Ford's began selling heavy-duty trucks in 1951, offering "Big Job" variants of their truck lineup to buyers. Ford ultimately sold their heavy-duty truck division to Freightliner Trucks in 1997, who rebranded the division as Sterling Trucks until it closed in 2009.
